FORCE SILENCIEUSE / SILENT FORCE

Christophe Cornard’s latest works belong to a limited series which will encapsulate a total of eight related yet autonomous sculptures. Each individual work aims to expose the complex dynamics at play in the universal concept of nature versus culture by carefully dissecting its components. By systematically exploring related constructs of nurturing and receiving, the work focuses on contrasting, yet complementary notions of fragility and strength, delving into aspects of physical possessiveness as opposed to emotional liberality. Each piece is a true insight into the artist’s inner processes, in his evolutive quest towards self-discovery in order to find his rightful place in the universe. Pieces in the series evolve from stone to bronze, and back again, from perceived vulnerability to permanent solidity to underscore the yin and yang of the artist’s creative process.
