CONCORD, a polished bronze of intimate scale, studies the duality of the human experience when it comes to exploring the cosmic cycles of masculine and feminine energies of giving and receiving. The natural integrity and longevity of the material, selected to contrast and underscore the fragility emanating from the perpetual ebb and flow of the form, becomes the biological and concrete expression of an unbreakable bond. Through the continuous interplay of contrasting planes and surfaces, which seamlessly juxtaposes smooth and rough textures, whilst highlighting edges which appear to disappear into a fluid yet dynamic movement, the artist evokes his own struggle in understanding the limitations of the external factors which have fostered his creative development. CONCORD seeks to bring a sense of integration and peace to those who view it.
